Pak Hills a state of the art GLT factory installed in Year 2010. The plant has the processing capacity of 5500 kgs per hour. The GLT is equipped with the standard laboratory having stem tester, degradation test shaker, infrared instant chemistry testing machine. Quality tests are performed periodically to check packing parameters.

Our company Pak Hills has the potential to buy around 10 Million kgs of tobacco in the market. However, we purchase around 5 Million Kgs depending on the domestic and international demand. Our company has a good reputation in the national and international markets.

Quality Monitoring during Product Process

Physical leaf inspection at the feeding area.
Monitoring of moisture level during conditioning process.
Non-tobacco related material (NTRM)/foreign removal during the entire process.
Standard threshing parameters to achieve uniform particle size as per requirement.
Monitoring of moisture content and particle size standard in the packed product. and Leaf with pale yellow to lemon color with firm leaf structure and good grains. Spotting and blemishes up-to 15%. No injury.

GAP/IMPLEMENTATION OF STP

At Pak Hills the following Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) are applied in curing to achieve satisfactory results:

Use of Hygrometer.
Humidity control.
Use of curometer & curing chart.
Monitoring & control of temperature & the timing at various times.
Unloading time
Bulking and grading
IPM & USAGE OF AGROCHEMICALS:
Integrated Pest Management is being practiced by the tobacco industries to minimize dependence on Agro Chemicals etc with the following benefits.

Reducing the impact of noise, temperature, humidity, dust and similar on the occupational health and safety of our workforce;
Comprehensive surveys of all risks to employees and clearly defined actions to rectify potential problem areas; Availability of Appropriate equipment, training and medical care to empolyees.
